First edition of the ASEVA-TOYOTA national awards for research and innovation in vacuum science and the environment.

ASEVA, sponsored by TOYOTA, has launched the first edition of national awards for researchers working with vacuum technologies. The ASEVA scientific committee will nominate candidates for the prize in three different categories.

Best “junior” scientist (1000 €): Nominees have less than 10 years of professional experience (after phD).

All a devoted carrier” (3000 €): Nominees have an extended record of achievements and duties in the field of vacuum technologies.

“Improving our environment” (3000 €-Toyota). Nominees have contributed to a more sustainable environment using vacuum techniques.

Acceptance of the award implies participation in a public debate at “CSIC- Residencia de Estudiantes”.

Winners will be announced at the beginning of April.

Second edition: award to the best doctoral thesis

ASEVA announces the call for the second edition of awards to the best doctoral thesis defended from September 2017 to February 2019. A significant part of the thesis work should involve vacuum technologies.

The candidates may not be members of ASEVA but in that case, they should be endorsed by a member of ASEVA.

The prize consists of an economical reward (to be determined),   an invited talk in the IBERTRIVA-2019 conference and the gratuity of the corresponding conference fees.

Candidates should send their PhD manuscript (.pdf) and a CV by email before 15th March 2019 to info.aseva@gmail.com

First edition award to the best doctoral thesis

ASEVA announces the call for the first edition of awards to the best doctoral thesis defended during the 2015-2016 or the 2016-2017 academic years. A significant part of the thesis work should be related to the use of techniques or processes using vacuum technology.

The candidates may not be members of ASEVA but in that case, they should be endorsed by a member of ASEVA.

In this first edition, the prize consists of 400€, sponsored by Leybold, an invited talk in the RIVA-X conference and the gratuity of the corresponding conference fees. In addition, the selected candidate will waived of the fee for the ASEVA membership in the first year.
