Abstract:
Continuous epitaxial graphene (EG) films have been grown on polished surfaces of dense polycrystalline SiC ceramics by heating in a Spark Plasma Sintering furnace (SPS). The confining of the sample into a graphite die and the use of a high…

Materials & Design 2020

Abstract:
Nanoporous solids that stabilize trapped gas nanobubbles open new possibilities to fabricate solid targets for nuclear reactions. A methodology is described based on the magnetron sputtering (MS) technique operated under quasistatic flux…

The 12th International Conference on LEEM PEEM. September 27th, 2021.

The 12th International Conference on LEEM PEEM. September 27th, 2021.

Due to the recent events and the international mobility regulations on this 2020, the LEEM PEEM 12 committee have decided to postpone the Congress, and so guarantee, as is tradition, the participation of people from all around the globe. The new date is september 27 2021.

However, we will keep on the original dates, from September 28 to October 01 2020, 4 days of online dynamics with tutorials and 5 minute video presentations of posters by young researchers. A maximum of 20 slots will be reserved for the poster presentations. The slots are reserved for PhD students and researchers that have obtained their PhDs no longer than 3 years ago.

Find the information in the «Online Event» tab, we will keep publishing information soon. Abstracts submission deadline is July 15. Registration is open and FREE.

We wish you well and hope to see you soon!

On-Surface Synthesis International Workshop (OSS20)

On-Surface Synthesis International Workshop (OSS20)

On-surface synthesis unites the easy tunability of molecular materials and the promises of self-assembly as a revolutionary production method, with the sturdiness of covalently bonded structures. This most attractive combination is drawing the interest of a rapidly increasing number of researchers. Important efforts are being devoted to augment the available on-surface synthesis toolbox, to improve our understanding of the chemical reaction mechanisms, as well as to the synthesis and characterization of new molecular architectures of potential interest for diverse applications.
Because this approach bridges across the fields of chemistry, physics and materials science, the aim of this fourth edition of the “On-Surface Synthesis” international workshop (following OSS14 in Les Houches, OSS16 in San Sebastian and OSS18 in Sant Feliu de Guíxols) is to bring together researchers working in this field from different perspectives, theory and experiment, as well as with chemical, physical and/or application-oriented viewpoints.
