The 83rd IUVSTA Workshop

The 83th IUVSTA Workshop “New Horizons in Boron‐Containing Coatings: Modeling, Synthesis, and Characterization” will take place in Vadstena, Sweden, September 2‐6, 2018 http://boronliu.com/. Borides/Boron‐containing coatings are emerging as the next generation of hard, wear‐, oxidation‐ and corrosion‐resistant coatings. The workshop is intended to initiate an in‐depth discussion covering a broad range of boron‐containing materials and synthesis technologies including approaches such as PVD and CVD to more complex methodologies incorporating gas‐ and/or power‐pulsing techniques, presented in a systematic fashion, by key scientific groups worldwide.
