SUMMARY:On-Surface Synthesis International Workshop (OSS24)
DESCRIPTION:On-surface synthesis\, a surface-supported variation of organic chemistry most commonly performed under vacuum\, unites the easy tunability of molecular materials and the promises of self-assembly as a revolutionary production method\, with the sturdiness of covalently bonded structures. This most attractive combination is drawing the interest of a rapidly increasing number of researchers. DESCRIPTION:Curso de Especialización en CIENCIA y TECNOLOGIA de MATERIALES\, Curso de Postgrado.\nEste curso de postgrado pretende familiarizar a los asistentes con algunos de los métodos físicos de análisis más utilizados en la actualidad para la caracterización de materiales\, en especial de aquellos que están constituidos por capas finas\, y de sus superficies. El curso\, de carácter intensivo y cinco días de duración\, consta de clases teóricas y sesiones prácticas. Estas últimas se desarrollarán con grupos reducidos de alumnos\, empleándose para ellos el equipamiento científico disponible en el Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Sevilla y el Centro Nacional de Aceleradores. The conference provides an excellent opportunity for scientists from Europe and from all over the world to meet and discuss the latest advances in surface physics/chemistry and the progress of the surface science approach of the related innovation fields of heterogeneous catalysis\, nanoelectronics\, bio-nanoscience and light–matter nanotechnology. Szeged\, crossed by the Tisza River is a university town of a long cultural tradition in the centre of the Carpathian Basin. The beautiful downtown of Szeged and the pleasant weather in August provide an excellent background for this conference.
