Fuerzas y Túnel FyT2023 conference

Fuerzas y Túnel FyT2023 conference

The Fuerzas y Túnel (FyTconference is a biannual symposium whose purpose is to bring together the national and international scientific community to discuss the latest advances in scanning probe microscopy (SPM). The great versatility of SPM makes it a fundamental technique in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology, with applications in a wide range of research fields, from materials science to virology. In this conference, we will focus on the use and development of SPMs for the study of materials (from the atomic level up to the nanoscale), the understanding of different phenomena (electronic, optical, magnetic, mechanical) in the most diverse conditions (from ultra-high vacuum to liquid media). All together will allow the development of materials with novel properties that aim to solve different social challenges.

FyT 2023 will be held at Fundación Rei Afonso Henriques in Zamora from 3 to 5 July 2023. Beyond scientific excellence, this event will also mark 20+ years since the first FyT conference in its present format.

A series of talks from reknown speakers will cover hot topics of atomic force microscopy, scanning tunneling microscopy and scanning probe theory.

We invite you to join us in FyT 2023 in Zamora to learn the latest advances of the field of scanning probes and gather with the Spanish SPM community, while enjoying an incomparable natural landscape.

EVC-16, 16TH EUROPEAN VACUUM CONFERENCE

EVC-16, 16TH EUROPEAN VACUUM CONFERENCE

EVC-16, 16th EUROPEAN VACUUM CONFERENCE POSTPONED TO 21-26 NOVEMBER, 2021, MARSEILLE, FRANCE

EVC is an international conference held every 3 years in Europe (every 2 years before 2018) which aims at gathering researchers from University, Industry and Technical Centers to present and discuss the current state of progress in the field of vacuum sciences and technologies.

As decided by the International Organizing Committee, the 16th European Conference on EVC-16 Vacuum was scheduled in Marseille, France from May 31 to June 4, 2021. Unfortunately, the complex health situation continues to impact our professional life and complicates the planning of the international trips in summer 2021. At the same time, we considered it more appropriate that this international conference be organized in person and not in an online version. Therefore, we have decided to move the conference to the following new dates November 21 to 26, 2021.

International Vacuum Conference-21

International Vacuum Conference-21

Welcome

On behalf of the Swedish Vaccum Society and IUVSTA we are thrilled to invite you to attend the 21st IVC Conference where advanced technology and materials research meet challenges in basic science as well as in industrial applications.

IVC has an almost 60 years long history of being one of the worlds most recognized conferences and the meeting place where the most recent advances in science and technology are presented and discussed

IVC-21 will be held in Malmö in southern Sweden, a region internationally known for its strong research and industrial base in Material Science, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Telecommunication and Life Science.

Malmö is located in the heart of the Greater Copenhagen Area and close to the Copenhagen International Airport which is only 20 min away from the conference site using the commuter train. Malmö is also located 10 min from Lund with its famous University and the large-scale research facilities, the synchrotron source MAX IV and the European neutron spallation source ESS.

The IVC-21 will follow the tradition of previous IVC conferences with a broad programme, exhibitions and courses, but we will put an emphasis on Material Science, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and Life Science and Science based on Large Scale Infrastructures.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Malmö, Sweden in July 1-5, 2019!

15th European Vacuum Conference

15th European Vacuum Conference

Welcome to Geneva

Surrounded by its magnificent natural landscape of lake and mountains and according to its tradition in science and international relations, the city of Geneva welcomes the participants to the European Vacuum Conference EVC-15 for an exciting and creative week, between June 17th and 22th, 2018.

EVC-15 will be organised by the Swiss Vacuum Society, swissvacuum, on behalf of IUVSTA, with support from CERN and the Geneva Convention Bureau for the logistics.

Iberian Vacuum Conference, RIVA-X

Iberian Vacuum Conference, RIVA-X

The Iberian Vacuum Conference, RIVA is a join meeting of the Spanish Vacuum Society (ASEVA) and the Portuguese Vacuum Society (SOPORVAC), and follows the series started in Braga, Portugal, in 1988, changing alternative the location between Portugal and Spain. The fields covered on this conference are related to vacuum and its applications, particularly on the fields of Fundamental and Applied Surface Science, Thin Films, Electronics Materials and Processing, Plasma physics, Vacuum Science and Technology and Nanometer Scale processes.

The main aim of the Conference is to provide a forum where the most relevant and recent results are discussed. We invite scientists and engineers of Spain and Portugal, as well as those from other countries, to take part in this event, especially junior ones. Detailed information here.

8th  European Topical Conference on Hard Coatings

One of the sessions inside Riva-X will be devoted to hard coating. Those submitting an abstract should indicate so on their forms.

RIVA-X will take place in Bilbao in the Bizkaia Aretoa centre from 4-6 October 2017.
